Bettinardi Wins 3rd Tour Event of ’19 with Land of Lincoln Championship Title

Tinley Park, IL: The winner of the Tour Land of Lincoln Championship used his custom Bettinardi Studio Reserve Jam-Flow putter to secure his second win on the Tour this season. Starting the final round tied for the lead at 5 under par Sunday, he made three birdies in his final seven holes of regulation to force a playoff, and sunk the winning putt on his 3rd playoff hole to take home the championship.

The winner moves back to No. 1 on The 25 season long point’s race, and has already secured his PGA Tour card for the 2019-2020 season. This is Bettinardi Golf’s 3rd Tour victory of the 2019 season; winning the Dormie Network Classic in April, in addition to the KC Golf Classic from Bettinardi Brand Advocate Michael Gellerman. Bettinardi Golf currently has The 25 leader on the Tour, and the FedEx Cup Point Leader Matt Kuchar on the PGA Tour.

“We are thrilled for the winner of the Land of Lincoln Championship, who now has two victories and 6 top 10’s in 12 starts since switching to a Bettinardi putter”, said Sam Bettinardi, Executive Vice President of Bettinardi Golf. “Having players consistently using and winning on the PGA Developmental Tours ensures that the future looks bright for Bettinardi Golf”.

Since the brand was established in 1998, Bettinardi putters have secured more than 80 victories around the world across all professional Tours. Off to a hot start in the 2018-2019 season with two wins by long-time brand advocate Matt Kuchar, three Tour victories in the last six weeks, and multiple top 10 finishes from their Tour Staffers including Matt Kuchar, Haotong Li, and Eddie Pepperell, and LPGA rising star Yu Liu, who recently finished T5 at the U.S. Women’s Open this month.

The winner of the Land of Lincoln Championship, and other Tour staffers will travel to Crestview Country Club in Wichita, Kansas this week to compete for another title.
